AI

Practical AI that works on your data and stays under your control.

We connect language models to your documents and systems, automate the repetitive work around them, and train private models on your own hardware when your data can’t leave the building.

Choosing a model

Hosted models or local models?

Both are good tools. The right one depends on your data, your volume and how much control you need. Many projects use both.

ConsiderationHosted model (API)Local / private model
Data locationSent to the provider, under their data terms.Stays on your servers or private cloud.
Getting startedFast. No hardware to buy or manage.Needs GPU hardware or rented GPU servers.
QualityStrongest general-purpose models. Can match or beat hosted models on a narrow task after fine-tuning.
Cost patternPay per request. Cheap at low volume.Mostly fixed. Cost-effective at steady, high volume.
CustomizationPrompts, retrieval and limited fine-tuning.Full fine-tuning on your own data.
Offline useRequires an internet connection.Works offline and in air-gapped networks.

How an AI project runs

From idea to a model you can trust.

  1. 01

    Assess

We map the tasks, data and risks, and pick the use cases where AI saves real time.

  2. 02

    Prototype

A working prototype on your own documents and examples within weeks, not months.

  3. 03

    Evaluate

Accuracy measured against a test set built from your data, compared with alternatives.

  4. 04

    Deploy

Production rollout with access control, logging, monitoring and a human in the loop.

  5. 05

    Improve

Ongoing tuning as your data, models and processes change.

Frequently asked questions

Where do we start if we’ve never used AI?

With a short assessment. We look at where your team spends time reading, sorting and re-typing information, and pick one task where AI can be measured against today’s process.

Is our data safe with AI?

It can be. We either use hosted models under terms that exclude training on your data, or run open-weight models on infrastructure you control so nothing leaves your network.

What does it cost to run a local model?

The main costs are hardware, or rented GPU servers, and the engineering to train and run the model. For steady, high-volume workloads, running your own model can cost less than per-request API pricing. We estimate both before you decide.

Can AI work with our existing software?

Yes. Most of our AI work is integration: connecting models to your databases, documents, ERP, CRM or store, through their APIs or ours.
